Oxonmoot

(or, "Let's meet in Oxford in September")

Oxonmoot is held in Oxford in September every year, usually on the weekend closest to the 22^nd of September: Frodo and Bilbo's birthday. Most of the event is held in an Oxford college. There are usually around 100 to 200 in attendence.

The moot usually includes talks, a quiz, an art show, a masquerade and other entertainments, a visit to Tolkien's grave in north Oxford, and last, but not least, the chance to spend a weekend in the company of other fans of Tolkien's work.

Oxonmoot 2010

Oxonmoot 2010 will take place at Lady Margaret Hall from 24^th September 2010 to 26^th September 2010.

Please Note: Problems have been reported with the accommodation booking section, for which the best explanation we have is that if the checkbox saying I want to book accommodation is not checked, then accommodation booking fails.

The closing event of Oxonmoot is the moving memorial ceremony at J.R.R.T.'s graveside. Transport from the college is provided for Oxonmoot attendees: at Wolvercote cemetery
